This is due to the fact that many of you are due for a refund. Once W-2’s are out, many people file their taxes as quickly as possible. Fortunately most employers won’t let things get dragged out too long. They need to get it in the mail to you by Jan 31. If you haven’t seen your forms by the end of this month, check with your employer. This is the time of year when employers are scrambling to comply with the federal deadline for getting out W-2 forms. Have a great day, and go visit someplace cool! If you get everything that you want, for the price and terms you were after, then all is good. You know, like Jumbo Shrimp, Pretty Ugly, Rap Music, and Living Dead. So consider the Mandatory Option an oxymoron. I mean, do you want to buy that gorgeous new fifth-wheel with cheap looking white painted steel wheels? I didn’t think so. If you look at the Mandatory Options, they are items that should have been there all along. More to the point, you cannot save the $400.00 the manufacturer is charging for the wheels. Suffice to say, you cannot purchase that fifth-wheel without the aluminum wheels. If you were hoping for a definitive answer, I’m afraid you’re going to be disappointed. So, is it an option or is it mandatory? Yes.Ĭonfused? Yeah, me too. And right next to that you will see the words “Mandatory Option”.
For instance, you might see that one of the options on the fifth-wheel you are considering is Aluminum Wheels. Quite often you will see in the options section certain items that have (mandatory) next to them. Next time you are out shopping for a new recreational vehicle (from, oh, I don’t know, me, perhaps?) at some point you will be inside the unit and you will see a piece of paper called the Monroney. The Monroney sticker - as it is called in the auto industry - is named for the late Almer Stillwell “Mike” Monroney, a senator from Oklahoma who sponsored the federal Automobile Information Disclosure Act in 1958, and is also used in the RV industry to list all of the facts (standard items and options) that are included with that specific unit.
